Inspiration

The downwind refers to the sailing of a sailboat, which receives the wind from the stern. A lot of precision is needed at the helm to avoid unintentional gybes, especially if there are crosswinds. To avoid this, it is common to install a hold, a line that prevents the boom from changing sides unintentionally.

Downwind under full sail.
