Mini Baret in Rose Gold Anchor | Upcycled
Inspiration
Botanist Jeanne Baret was the first woman to circumnavigate the world. As assistant to botanist Philibert Comemrson, she sailed in 1766 disguised as a man, since women were not allowed in the French Royal Navy. After a two-year voyage she was discovered and forced to land on Mauritius Island alone and without resources. In 1774 she married the French naval officer Jean Dubernat and returned to France completing the round-the-world trip.
In recognition of the women who sacrifice themselves in order to fulfill their dreams.
